Q: Where in the grocery store I can find your products?
A: It depends on the store manager and where he or she wants to stock them. You can find us in
the Produce, Dairy or Deli departments. If you can’t find your favorite Yucatan product — by all means, ASK! |

Q: Why does guacamole turn brown?
A: Any avocado or guacamole will turn brown in the presence of air. Yucatan Guacamole is sealed in an airtight container, which prevents any such browning while the package is closed. Our recipe also contains natural substances that slow down the browning enzymes. This means that Yucatan Guacamole can stay green and fresh-looking for three to five days in your refrigerator after the package is opened, so long as you try to minimize the exposure to air. Simply keep your guacamole in an airtight container, or place in a zipper bag and expel as much air as possible when closing. To keep it fresh longer, try squeezing fresh lime on top of your Yucatan Guacamole — don’t mix it in.
FYI: Our competition uses a different process; therefore the browning enzymes are very active. Once the package is opened, the product can turn brown within a couple of hours. |

|
A: Because Yucatan Guacamole is made by people — not machines — you may occasionally run across a harmless piece of seed, stem or avocado skin. It’s nothing to worry about, simply a natural and normal part of our hands-on process. That’s how we ensure that Yucatan is the purest guacamole you can buy, made of 95% avocado, 5% seasoning and the highest standards for quality and excellence. |
|
Q: What is the shelf life of Yucatan Guacamole?
A: The shelf life of our guacamole is 45 days unopened from the "sell-by"
date on the guacamole package. Once opened, the shelf life is three to fives days in your refrigerator. (Though frankly, we’ve never really heard of
“leftover guacamole.”)

|
Q: Can I freeze Yucatan Guacamole?
A: Sure you can! (And how smart of you to plan ahead for your important
guacamole needs). It is safe to freeze your unopened Yucatan Guacamole for
six to eight weeks. Simply defrost your frozen guacamole in the
refrigerator when you are ready to eat.
