Dear Yucatan friends,

Back in 1990 (probably over a basket of chips), someone asked a few Big Questions — why does the so-called guacamole you find in your corner grocery store have to be so…icky? Why is it loaded with preservatives and ingredients that are horrible for you? And why is there only about 7% avocado in there? Why can’t it be more like we make it at our casa?

As questions often do, this led to a Big Idea: Let’s do guacamole the right way, from the start. The Aztecs discovered the avocado, so let’s go to the heart of Mexico to find the creamiest, best-tasting Hass avocados in the world. Let the giant industrial companies churn out green glop in their factories — we’ll be in the groves, picking season-ripe fruit. Then we’ll make all-natural, genuine guacamole, packing as many of our delicious avocados as possible into every batch.

That’s just what we did. Each one-pound package of Yucatan Guacamole has about five whole Hass avocados in it. All-natural ingredients. And homemade taste. Over the years, we applied our “do it the right way” philosophy to everything we do. Yucatan was the first to introduce all-natural guacamole, and the first to bring you organic guacamole. We expanded our line to include unique taqueria-inspired Salsas and healthy but tasty Soyquitos. We even provide many of your favorite restaurants with our products, including fresh ingredients they use in their own recipes. Today, our consumers enjoy the great taste of Yucatan throughout the United States, Asia, Australia, Canada, and Mexico.
